KONAMI • PES 2005 – 2010

ZEROH worked with Japanese gaming company Konami from 2002 on a number of projects for a number of their brands, most consistently for the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise.

2005
ZEROH’S first video commission for Konami was to produce motion graphics and to handle art direction on Pro Evolution Soccers first full motion video intro sequence (PES6). We took influence from club badge logos and motifs of the sport coupled with line drawings of world famous stadiums and worked with production company Candy Lab.

2007
We were commissioned by Konami Europe to produce an ident for the PES2008 launch. We took inspiration from the 2006 Douglas Gordon/ Philppe Parreno film ‘Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait’ and created a virtual Football match which focused on the soundscape and perspective of the ball.

2009
Over the course of Summer 2009 ZEROH flew to Tokyo, Turin, Barcelona and  Bordeaux to film and edit 16 videos following the making of the Pes 2010 TV ad and the production of the game. All the films were translated in 8 languages for a global audience. The complete body of work can be viewed on the Konami channel on You Tube. The selection of the films ZEROH produced featured below are the behind the scenes making of the TV ad and interviews with Lionel Messi and Fernando Torres.

2010
ZEROH provided the edit of games footage for the PES 2011 TV commercial and shot a behind the scenes film of the promotional photo shoot featuring Lionel Messi for Konami to use virally.
