THEATRE: DIGITAL DESIGN/ DOCUMENTARY FILM

Working alongside Writer – Sarah Woods, Theatre Director – Tony McBride and Neuroscientist – Dr. Iroise Dumontheil (Birkbeck) we conceptualised and created visualisations and location imagery for the forum theatre piece ‘META’ performed and produced by Cardboard Citizens. The play told the story of high school age children and how a small incident can be misread and exaggerated with far reaching consequences and much confusion for the still developing teenage brain. The play was seen by over 3,500 people over 25 different venues during a 6 week tour.

The content includes looping backgrounds for locations and bright, bold visualisations of the brain’s workings and different areas to explain the science within the narrative, using emoji’s as emotional signifies for the school age audiences to relate too.

We also shot and edited a short film detailing how the project came about and it’s effects on the audience and cast members, also featured left.
