NON PROFIT ORGANISATION: RE- BRANDING/ CURATED PROJECT
We were asked to re-brand and devise a promotional campaign for Hastings annual arts festival Coastal Currents. We decided on a Prom Poster Project. Hastings has a number of poster sites which stretch the length of the sea front promenade. Its a great place for art to exist adding a visual element to the promenading experience. We hired each poster site and created a linear outdoor gallery along the promenade featuring the work of local and international artists alike.
Artists included: Aardvark/ Debi Angel/ Ben Eine/ Maggi Hambling/ Billy Childish/ Jake and Dinos Chapman/ Andrew Kotting + Iain Sinclair and Martin O’Neill.
The project also produced sets of eight collectable postcards.
For the re-branding of the festival we designed a simple ‘C’ in ‘C’ logo with a two tone colour palette to be changed year on year. The design needed to be a clear indicator to be applied across various promotional material for multiple events.
