DAWN CHORUS_COASTAL CURRENTS FESTIVAL

Back in May we were approached by Lorna Crabbe and Tina Morris from Coastal Currents Arts Festival, Hastings, with an invitation to curate and create a production for the opening night of the festivals 15th year, in the towns wonderful St.Mary’s in the Castle venue. Using the theme of a Dawn Chorus, inspired by specially commissioned feathered sculpture features by Kate Mccquire in the venues crypt, we invited Sound Artist and producer Riz Maslen aka Neotropic, vocal sculptor Jason Singh, baritone Le Gateau Chocolat and local choir leader Claire Hamill to take part in our interpretation of a Dawn Chorus. The night was deemed a massive success with the venue seeing its busiest night ever. More info and images from the evening are forthcoming.
